For parents
How do I sign in?
Use the phone number your school registered for you, in any format (07…, +254…). The first time, you choose a PIN of at least 4 digits — that phone + PIN is your login from then on. No app download or email needed.
I forgot my PIN. What do I do?
Ask the school office to reset it. On your next sign-in you'll simply choose a new PIN.
What can I see about my child?
Their report card with class position, CBC competency progress, attendance, the fee balance and statement, and messages from the school. If you have several children at the school, tap your child's picture at the top to switch between them.
Is my child's information safe?
Yes. Only your school's staff and the guardians the school links can see a learner's records; schools are fully separated from each other, and PINs are stored so that not even Gradika can read them. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Does it cost me anything?
No — the school subscribes to Gradika. Parents use it free.
For teachers
How do I get an account?
Your school admin sends an invite to your email from the Staff page. Accept it and you're in — you'll see the classes and subjects assigned to you.
What does a class teacher see that a subject teacher doesn't?
A class teacher owns their class: its register (attendance), enrolment, and family contacts. Subject teachers assess only the class–subject pairs they're assigned, and don't see guardian phone numbers.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes — the whole staff area works on a phone: your timetable leads with a Today view, lists display as cards, and the class contacts page gives you tap-to-call for your learners' parents.
For schools
How does a school get started?
Register at get-started with your school name and web address (e.g. yourschool). After approval, the Setup page walks you through everything: profile, terms, classes, staff invites, learners, guardians, and the timetable.
Who owns our data?
The school does. Gradika processes it only to run the service, and you can request a full export — or deletion — at any time.
How do parents pay school fees?
Fees are recorded and receipted in Gradika, and parents see their balance and statement. In-app M-Pesa payment straight to the school's own paybill is coming; today parents pay via your existing paybill or at the office.
Does messaging reach parents by SMS?
Broadcasts are composed and logged in Gradika today, with real SMS dispatch arriving in a coming update. Class teachers can already reach any parent instantly by tap-to-call or tap-to-SMS from the Contacts page.
What happens if we leave?
You can export your records, and we delete your school's data after a wind-down period. No lock-in.
